Pegasus Health’s University of Central Florida College of Medicine (USFCOM) strives to provide it’s patients with state-of-the-art health care while creating opportunities to educate medical students and establish a foundation for clinical studies. In September of 2011, UCFCOM finished construction on a new 130,000-square-foot facility.

CLIENT NEEDS
USFCOM required a modular, updateable signage system, installed before the new facility’s grand opening. The package was required to parallel the look of existing signage found at other buildings on the Lake Nona medical campus. Signage had to be manufactured and installed on an unusually short timeline.

OUR SOLUTION
Avalon Sign Solutions offered USFCOM a modular curved-faced signage package that could keep up with the facility’s ongoing changes. Working hand-in-hand with the project’s general contractors, Balfour Beatty, and their subcontractors, Avalon Sign Solutions was able to install signage to meet all codes and inspections necessary for the facility to open to the public.

FINAL OUTCOME
The new signage package was installed successfully on-time, and on-budget while continuing to uphold UCF’s existing signage designs found at USFCOM’s facilities. Avalon Sign Solutions continues a partnership with Balfour Beatty and UCF to design and provide the exterior signage programs for their facilities.
